Mi Rumba keeps its cards close to it’s chest for the first couple of minutes, building a driving, tech groove before revealing its true identity after a dramatic break where detuned percussion and delayed vocal FX bring the track to a standstill. Cowbellmania ensues going headlong into an afro infused groove before the layers of filtering synths build up to the next peak. All in all, a cleverly crafted track that brings familiar elements together to form a driving, floor-filling groove, that’s been getting great responses from early plays! Enjoy!

Infinity Dub, a seriously off-world excursion into sublime deep and dubby house for the serious heads. Warm analogue chords sit on top of pumping beats and rolling sub all the while warped noise FX and Rhodes glissandos spin wildly around adding a subtly hypnotic edge to the track. All in all two classic mood setting tracks that avoid any of the obviousness so rife in todays slew of deep house, displaying why Jimpster is still held in high regard as a key purveyor of the scene. After the success of The Pimp : Everyday on SSOH label, the young and impressive French trio comes back, fully exploiting the sultry vocals of Roland Clark to provide a devastating slice of pure house. Benedetto & Farina’s original mix effortlessly flexes percussion groove, jazz trumpet across Roland Clark’s silk-like vocal arrangement, while the Claude Monnet’s remixes take the original and gives it an altogether darker twist, using wooden percussion samples with genius precision and inducing a slightly more eerie feel while managing to keep the rhythm and the pace of The Pimp Original cut.

Incredible “Cut Me Down” was the bi-product of this year’s IMS Conference in Ibiza where Sasha was assumed the honor of creating the 2011 IMS Anthem in conjunction with Burn Studios. The track was then handed over to Layo & Bushwacka for the masterclass in remixing. Their stunning mix appears on the flipside with full L&B signature riffs, basslines and bouncy drums.
