Samuele Sartini has been again released on Nervous Records! We are talking about two versions of lovely vocal tune “Love U Seek”. Samuele Sartini did a classic house rework with piano chords in a catchy UK style. Amanda Wilson gets other vocal dimension in Soul Elementz remix which is more of a big room style with pumping beats and repeating piano chords! Both remixes rock, just in different style! Enjoy!

Highly anticipated tune “New Day” is finally released today! Bringing the old-school flavour, Olav Basoski gave a little lesson, as who is the house master. Incredible melody, sampling and rhythm! Enjoy!

Not so long ago, Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe held a regular night club called Basement Jaxx. Joined by DJs including DJ Sneak, Daft Punk and the singer Corrina Joseph, they mutated the night into a equally popular club called Rooty, the namesake of their second artist album.
Nowadays, 15 years later, they’re still at their prime. Their last album titled ‘Scars’, according to Felix Buxton, were all the things that the band had been through emotionally and physically.
My personal best from Basement Jaxx is their Dreamzdub of ‘Rendez-Vu’ and I’ve been looking for a digital copy everywhere and didn’t found it, so if someone has it, please leave a link in the comments.

This week was kinda slow on the releases, I guess it’s just December and all that stuff. ‘Ed Banger’ dropped Laidback Luke’s remix of ‘Do! Do! Do!’ which is pretty fucking dope. Also, oldschool guy The Phantom’s Revenge dropped a new EP on ‘La Valigetta’. Proxy’s ‘Turbo’ label dropped a track from Discosamurai (a lot of people are saying it’s Phra from the Crookers) called ‘Yes & No’ and it’s pretty dope too.

I decided to remind a few people what house music was all about before. It’s a classic Essential Mixes of Daft Punk from 1997 and 1999. It’s simply a must have. Tracklists after the jump.
This is the best version of Vaya Con Dios song “Hey (Nah Neh Nah) by far! For years I’ve heard electro, progressive even techno versions of this song but German duo Milk & Sugar did it right with a little original breakdown and a pumping house rhythm! Don’t miss this one!

Taken from Quentin’s “Sacrifice” long player, “Give It 2 U” is a rare glimpse of sumptuous, quality house made with real love and attention, a world apart from the quick track knocked up on the laptop between gigs. On the heels of the Summer’s Stealth release, Ultra’s confident performance and Q’s dramatic strings are given the once-again treatment by an embarrassingly numerous coterie. A legend of Chicago house, Frankie Knuckles, provides the foil with a low-down gritty groover. And the giants of production keep coming; Sandy Rivera mixes in more urgent drums and synth keys, StoneBridge provides the uplifting chords and then there’s the more than trifling matter of the Illfonics’ and Azari & III’s ‘80s retro-clash jams. Respect and quality in equal measure. So without further ado we “Give It 2 U”!!! Enjoy!

Absolutely fantastic TUNEEE comes from DJ duo – Johnas Belardinelli & Vincenzo Busceti that are known for their fantastic soulful house parties in Switzerland and they always have the right choice of the musically selection during their DJ sets. But this is not their only talent as you can hear in this production. “My Way” is featured by the fantastic voice of Carlos Santana’s singer Tony Lindsey, who brings the track to the right level for a Purple (Jamie Lewis Label) release.

It has passed two years since we had “Memoriam for Didier Sinclar” a pioneer of French house music and one of the leading music editors of Radio FG. He died at age 43 from unexpected lung cancer which shocked whole electronic scene… Yet we will never forgive his tunes and therefore we present you his first big track “Lovely Flight”. It’s a beautiful tune with pounding bassline, heavy percussions for 2001 and vocal sample from “Serious Intention – Serious”. Back in the days it was major hit which was released for Serial Records, Eukahouse, MRP and Fragile Records. We also bring you and Edit of the original that was also featured on original EP. Enjoy and never forget Didier Sinclar!

Cassius is a French house music duo consisting of producers Philippe Cerboneschi and Hubert Blanc-Francard, better known as Philippe Zdar and Boom Bass. They have collabed with the likes of Air and Daft Punk.

I think original and Quentin Harris remix are the best versions of classic Kosheen’s track. Some say it’s a lame rework but it’s bringing big club tune back to life! Enjoy!

I’m late! But better late than never. So where do I begin on these guys?
Le Knight Club is a French duo consisted of Guy-Manuel Homem De Cristo (also known as one half of Daft Punk) and Eric Chedeville. Paul Homem De Cristo (or Play Paul) was sometimes a guest, but never confirmed to be a part of Le Knight Club. This duo is also a founder of label Crydamoure which released some of the purest and most uncompromising French house tracks, around much of it donated by Le Knight Club itself. You’ll see them a lot around Oldschool Tuesdays.
We always try to pick the best tunes for you so we have the best remix of “Now Or Never” tune that went into classics! Niels van Gogh did it in a clappy-disco way but still keeping it pumping in breakdown! Really great rework!

Another idea I had for a long time. So, where do I begin? Probably with the place where it all started, Chicago. I guess when I say Curtis Jones, that doesn’t ring much bells for you guys, but when I say Green Velvet or Cajmere… That’s another story. Chicago-based producer and DJ Curtis Alan Jones, aka. Green Velvet, aka. Cajmere, is basically one of the godfathers of Chicago house sound. Jones is also known as Geo Vogt, Half Pint, Curan Stone, and Gino Vittori. Personally, my fav is his remix of his own track ‘Come’. Wobbly melody which goes through the whole track is so, so ill. Enjoy and let me know if you think this ‘Oldschool Tuesday’ is a good idea!

Not everyone understands house music, it’s a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing. Nobody personifies the spirituality and soul of house music like Osunlade. An artist in the truest sense, he balances melodies with life and wisdom in a unique, organic production style. Best seen through his Yoruba Records vision and on seminal labels like Strictly Rhythm and Soul Jazz, his approach has also enticed the likes of MAW, Zero 7 and 4hero all seeking his natural remix touch. Here are 27 (with 8 picks from Electro Station) of his finest original productions and remixes collected in this DJ friendly unmixed selection from another true house master: Osunlade In the interview above, Osunlade speaks about his album and about the tracks that are featured on it. Enjoy!

The track which was No.1 in UK back in 1999! The track that got remixes from Roger Sanchez to Sander Van Doorn. The track with one of the most beautiful vocals from Gaelle Adisson! We got 2010 rework that is really similar to original version just with a little FX on vocals. Enjoy!

Beautiful Piano loop and soft tribal beat! I’m in love with those soulful pianos! Maybe you can help me to find some more Piano stuff? I would prefer Tech-House with soulful pianos! Enjoy this Sunset track!
I first heard “Love Story” on a live BBC Radio 1 show around 1999/2000 time at that time is was simply known as “Untitled”. Up until it was released, the test-pressing was one of the most sought after pieces of vinyl and I was chuffed to get hold of the double-pack promo.
The mixes of “Love Story” are solid, with cracking work-outs from Tim Deluxe (on a more housy vibe) & Bushwacka himself (taking it on a deeper, proggy tip) remixing on the original release. The subsequent Mash-Ups: Sun Story (Love Story vs. Planet Funk’s Chase the Sun) and Finally vs. Love Story (on video) (which fared better in terms of sales and has to be respected as a good main-stream track, but was never really my thing) were both well-received by dance-floors. – by BigMarv

^2 Layo & Bushwacka! – Love Story (Bushwacka! Remix)
^3 Layo & Bushwacka! – Love Story (Tim Deluxe Remix)

Highly anticipated remix of “Soul Roots” comes from Antranig, NYC producer that is doing some wonderful stuff this year, releasing for records like Subliminal. Really good rework of this classic piano tune!

Finally Axwell is Back with some classic House sh*t! The Track was leaked weeks ago in a Demo-Version! Here is the Full Retail version! I really hope to hear some more classic Axwell tunes this year!
Long time we didn’t posted “old but gold”. I think now it’s right time to do it. We choose little forgetten 24 years old house anthem. This is one of the most sampled and influential tracks of all time. Lyrics are not so rich with words, but it contains two so good verses: “Gotta have House music, all night long” and “With the House music, you can’t go wrong!”. I guess quote “It’s about quality not quantity” here comes to the fore. Also track includes lovely piano. All in all, the house music anthem. Also if someone have 320k version it will be good to share with us. I only have this VBR. Enjoy!

Original version of Sing It Back 1st time appered on Moloko’s 2nd album. It was remixed by DJ and producer, Boris Dlugosch. And that remixed version was on over 100 compilations and was added on Moloko’s 3rd album. Boris’ remix was become and still is soulful-disco anthem. We’re brining you one new version, too, wich was done by Michael Kaye (on pic). It’s in electro-house style. Check it out and enjoy!

We’re going back to 1991. when it’s released first and the biggest Ce Ce Peniston’s single Finally which mixes are doned by best remixer/producer of 1991, David Morales. What to say about the track? To be honest, if you didn’t heard it at least once, you can kill yourself right now. But seriously, this track is one piece of awesomeness! Just listen chorus from this track and you can’t get out of your head for days… It’s amazing… Lyrics are homework to any text-writter now. How effective, addictive and beautiful! This is one of the tracks that never gonna die.

While we are waiting for Roger’s newest hit “2gether”, why not remember some of his ex hits. What do you say about, Another Chance? It was a worldwide hit 9 years ago. And it was No.1 in the UK Singles Chart. The song is based on a sample from Toto – I Won’t Hold You Back. I played it accidently in winamp a few days ago, and emotions immediately start working… I don’t know how to call this track and not to be a sinonim for a word, beautiful. It’s really great track for relaxing… You will feel a chill every time you hear it. One of the best melodic tracks I’ve ever heard. Enjoy in memories.
