Here’s something completely unexpected! Fatboy Slim has just dropped on Soundcloud a remix from Maribou State of the epic “Praise You.” The original single is taken from Fatboy Slim’s album “You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby” released in 1999. After listening to the original, you’re going to be positively surprised with London’s duo take. They extended the piece decomposing almost all the elements from the original. Great vocal rework, working perfectly together with Maribou State’s natural touch. Make sure to pre-order your copy via Skint Records.
Soul Minority. The name that has been synonymous with proper house music that’s been tearing up dance-floors, mixes, and charts all across the globe for almost five years strong now. We’re pleased to finally present to you “SLOVE” a 12-track masterpiece embodies everything that Oli has worked for over the years. From the typical floor-friendly Soul Minority sounds, to the Lo-Slung feel good joints, and everything else in between, -SLOVE- is not just another album. It’s the story of one man’s journey (yes, Soul Minority is just one person lol) through time and space – interpreted though music. It also marks our 50th release here at Kolour Recordings.
Album tracks are already being supported by Mark Farina, Kiko Navarro, Miguel Migs, Motor City Soul, Mr V, Nathan G, Oscar P, Shur-i-Kan, The Glue, Glenn Underground, Sunshine Jones and many more. Bottom line – Kolour Digital #50 is a celebration and we hope you’ll join us! However, we realize that 50 releases isn’t possible on any medium without the support that each one of you have given us over the years. To say that we appreciate it would be dramatically understating it… so we’ll just once again say Thanks .. from the bottom of our hearts. Enjoy!

One of the hot tunes currently is “Sonnentanz” (english Sundance) which you can see from the cover too, and it’s brought in a deep, but jazzy and summery vibe by German producing duo Klangkarussell. Original is smoother and goes more with a chill-out vibe, while Oliver Koletzki did a little rougher remix for clubs. Really amazing tune which will for sure be charted in many toplists!

One of the hottest tunes currently at Ibiza is this remix of “One Day” done by Walkemut, Asaf Avidan & The Mojos… Truely amazing balearic guitar with those ruff and screamingly emotional vocals makes this tune pretty unique on the dancefloor! Pure eargasm!

This is the debut release for Doman & Gooding’s brand new label – Superficial Recordings. These remixes gained huge radio support worldwide and for this release they have teamed up with acclaimed singer songwriter Heather Bright. In original version which is made to play you will get the heavy progressive piano synths in a combination with rolling beats. It goes more mainroom and the original is really effective in clubs. But our true pick is After Life’s remix that gives true Ibiza vibe with calm and smooth beats which makes you “there” if you just close your eyes. Incredible EP!

As Jimi Hendrix said: “All you need is a few riffs. Rest is improvisation”. In house music you need just a few riffs, but catchy ones! Rick Sanders found them and implemented as a smooth, almost deep summer tune that has positive and chilling vibe all the way… Irony that the EP is called “I’m Nervous”.

Joash is a London based producer who started his musical career as a drummer. Long before he developed a love for dance music, buying early records by Plastikman, Laurent Garnier and other techno pioneers. At the same time, having borrowed a Serge Gainsbourg album from a friend, Joash was blown away by the mixture of jazz and orchestral sounds that still sounded fresh. Something different, but still with certain amount of quality vibe that we share here on Electro Station!
