Nicholas Jaar – BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix Of The Year

This man blew off in this year. BBC Radio 1 crowned his mix the best, and it is totally deserved title.

Radio 1′s Essential Mix Of The Year for 2012 comes from Nicolas Jaar. The mix was chosen by a panel of expert judges, including Pete Tong and the Friday Night Dance Music Marathon team. The judges thought that Jaar’s mix was bold, brave and timeless. It mixed Aphex Twin with string quartets, Ricardo Villalobos with Marvin Gaye, it had Beyonce unplugged and it had Jay Z playing golf!
