I first heard “Love Story” on a live BBC Radio 1 show around 1999/2000 time at that time is was simply known as “Untitled”. Up until it was released, the test-pressing was one of the most sought after pieces of vinyl and I was chuffed to get hold of the double-pack promo.
The mixes of “Love Story” are solid, with cracking work-outs from Tim Deluxe (on a more housy vibe) & Bushwacka himself (taking it on a deeper, proggy tip) remixing on the original release. The subsequent Mash-Ups: Sun Story (Love Story vs. Planet Funk’s Chase the Sun) and Finally vs. Love Story (on video) (which fared better in terms of sales and has to be respected as a good main-stream track, but was never really my thing) were both well-received by dance-floors. – by BigMarv
