Is this competition open to remixes as well? To me a bootleg is more a mash-up of two tracks and id rather remix it if its not a waste of time.

Yeah, it’s open for remixes, but look it this way :
- Bootleg = unofficial remix
- Mashup = mix of two or more tracks
